Software Engineer II at Cisco Systems
I build and operate distributed systems that are expected to remain reliable under scale, change, and failure. My work focuses on designing multi-region, fault-tolerant architectures that handle millions of requests with zero downtime, where reliability and security are first-class concerns rather than afterthoughts.
I have deep experience working across Kubernetes-based platforms, building production systems in Go and Python, and designing resilient CI/CD pipelines that support continuous delivery at scale. A significant part of my work involves improving system reliability and security through proactive observability, vulnerability mitigation, and operational automation (reducing production risk before it manifests).
Beyond core backend and platform engineering, I have worked extensively with middleware and integration platforms, including Kafka in both on-prem and SaaS deployments, API management platforms such as Mashery, and integration runtimes like MuleSoft RTF. This has given me strong exposure to building, operating, and scaling shared platforms that serve multiple teams and workloads.
Currently at Cisco, I lead Go2, an internal backend platform serving over 100 teams across three geographic regions. Occasionally, I write about distributed systems, platform engineering, and reliability on Medium. Coffee consumption scales predictably with production traffic.
